Birthday Celebrations

We had such a fun weekend with Valentines Day, Naomi's Birthday with Aimee, Mark, and their kids Claire and Jakob and Mark's parents, Chris and Charlie. And then a sweet little princess party with Naomi's friends.
I wanted to write about all the fun we had, so here's the pictures to prove it.

Naomi and Claire excited for some princess birthday cake, and Jakob peeking from behind...

Naomi modeling her new "wedding princess dress" and Tinkerbell wand. Thanks Grandma Linda and Grandpa Jeff! She loves this dress.

While I was busy baking and preparing on Saturday, Valentines Day. Zach went grocery shopping and brought home some beautiful flowers for me! And he arranged them himself!
He brought me some iced animal cookies too. My favorite.

Naomi volunteered to help lick the batter. She helped bake her own birthday cake, cracking eggs and all.

Mmmm.

The finished cake! In the freezer the night before her Birthday party. I was just happy that it fit in my tiny little freezer!

Naomi's Princess Birthday Party. We had this party on Monday. All her little girlfriends came dressed in their princess best. It was adorable. These girls had a good time decorating crowns and partying together, dancing to princess music too.

Aimee and Me on Naomi's birthday.

I'm sure Aimee and Mark will appreciate this picture:)
I think it had been a crazy weekend so far for these two.

Claire and Naomi all princessed up were problem solving together about how to get those presents unwrapped.
They had a great time playing together. Oh how we wish they lived closer!

Slicing the CAKE! It was delicious, I love chocolate cake...
I took Belle out of the cake and then sliced. Naomi was a little worried that we were ruining her "dress" but was assured that she had a real dress underneath, then we could eat the cake.

Three

Last Sunday was Naomi's 3rd birthday!
I am amazed at how much one little person can change in 3 short years. We've had eventful years since her birth and she's only added to the crazy fun, and sometimes just crazy, of it all.
Since Naomi was born we have gone to Lake Powell 4 times, Hawaii once, Cabo San Lucas once as well, but that was just me and Zach:)
We moved from Utah to Illinois and then back to Utah for the summer. Then we moved to Maryland where we are now, but then we've had a short stay in Charlotte and then in Utah again for the summer, then back to Maryland. Lost yet?
Naomi has been on 19 airplane rides. That's not counting layovers. And we're planning another for next month!
Naomi has learned how to walk, then crawl, run, jump, hop, climb, skip, twirl, somersault, ride a trike.
She has all her teeth, eats everything we do, helps me bake and cook in the kitchen. Does dishes with her Daddy.
She has grown from 19 1/2 inches to 38 inches. She has gained 25 pounds. Her hair has never been cut and is still pretty short, but very curly.
She has had a baby brother for almost a year.
She uses a "big girl potty" and sleeps in a "big girl bed."
Naomi knows all her colors and numbers and counts so well. She also knows her letters and many letter sounds.
Naomi is sweet and sassy and crazy, and very high energy. She loves to be tickled, hugged and chased. Playing outside is one of her favorite things to do.
Naomi has decided that she will be a princess when she grows up, or a pink lawyer, and a mommy too. She loves to wear long dresses. Especially pink or white ones.  She wants to get married in the Temple.
Naomi is not easily scared. She will hold insects and jump off high things. She is adventurous and very curious, and very independent.
She loves her "boo-boo baby" James. She looks out for him and reads him stories if he'll let her. Sharing toys with James is hard sometimes but she always shares her food with him. He loves to be tickled and tackled by Naomi.
Naomi likes to be warm and never turns down a bath.
Naomi loves to talk on the phone to her daddy and grandma's. She loves her cousins.

I love my little Naomi. She watches everything I do. I am trying to be the best mommy I can for her. I know she is a special little girl. She has so much potential. I'm excited for what the next 3 years will bring!

Happy Birthday Naomi Natalie!
