Courage

Tessa, my childhood friend, is fighting cancer for the second time in her young lifetime.

She is a mother and wife this time around and is so determined and optimistic.

She is amazing, and inspiring and I admire her courage so much.

This is a link to her blog following this battle with cancer.

I think we could all use a little dose of fantastic today.

Please keep Tessa and her little family in your thoughts and prayers!

Black Light Paint Dance

A few weeks ago. Natalee and I went to a Black-Light Paint Dance for USU homecoming week. We are maybe a liiiitle bit old for that stuff. I am anyway. But it was SO fun! We dressed in our grubby jeans and bought sweatshirts because we didn't want to freeze outside. We would have bought white ones, but we couldn't seem to find them anywhere.
We got covered in paint, soaked. It was crazy fun. We danced the night away and did our best to avoid being hit on by freshmen guys.
When we got back to Natalee's she pulled out her black light so we could document the awesomeness.

Pea Soup

Naomi put this together over the course of several days. It consists of frozen peas, pine cone pieces, paper scraps, leaf pieces, salad supreme seasoning, a red feather.

She played pretend with it for a while, then one day she added water and had James try it.
He loved it.
I was a little late....
She claims he didn't eat any feathers or paper or pine cones. or Leaves.

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom had a birthday this week!
She's 29, again. It's going to be awkward next year when we're the same age....

Dad and Mom, looking good you two!

These two love their grandma Stevie.

I pulled James out of a deep slumber for this little party. He was ecstatic.

Me and Mom

Isaac and the Birthday Grandma!

Who wants cake?!

My sisters, and my sister in law Erica and I went to lunch with my Mom for her birthday too, but as usual, we missed having Aimee and Brooke there. Someday we'll all be together again! Soon for Brooke too!!!

Chocolate cake was the treat of choice, my mom made her classic round layer cake with whip cream between the layers.
I love it. Love it.
I wanted to bake her cake for her, but she insisted and she does make that cake the very best.

Erica and Dave and I with all our kids celebrated with my Mom and Dad at their place.
I love birthdays, it's always a fun reason to get together.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!!!
Love You!

Social Media

October Photos

One pretty evening Kelly and I took our kids for a bike ride on the Logan River Walk, the kids loved playing in the water most of all.

My cute friend Kelly and me.

Naomi and James by their Jack-o-lanterns! This is before they sat on our front porch and rotted, but the rot was cool in a Halloween-creepy way. James didn't like the slimy insides. Naomi, of course, did.

James and Naomi at the Pumpkin Walk. They are so cute.

This one is just about right....

This is from Lagoon! It was the last really warm Saturday of the year. Perfect weather. Naomi and James LOVED it all. Naomi is a little dare devil. It makes me proud. And James wants to do everything his big sister does.

Aggie Homecoming Parade! Erica and I rode the Spirit Squad float with our kids, we were both cheerleaders at USU.
I was only one semester cheering on the Aggies, but I loved it!
Naomi at the very wet Utah State game. That's a true fan!
