We got to the hospital about 9:00am. Trisha started an I.V. of Pitocen at about 10:00am, the doctor broke her water at about 12:45. The painful contractions merited an epideral at 2:30. By 4:30 she was at a 5 and at 5:30 she was a 10. Two push cycles (5 pushes) later James was born at 5:49pm EST. James weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and is 19 inches long. Here are some of the pics from today.

Yeah! Congrats! I'm so excited for you! He looks so cute (and so do you Trisha!!!). Good luck with this transition! I'll take any tips you've got in a couple of weeks! Ours will come during finals week(yikes!). Love the name too! I can't wait to see you guys this summer!

Yeah! I was hoping you would put up pictures. He's adorable. He seems pretty fair skinned. Was Naomi that light when she was born? I can't wait to hold him.
Remember that I'm always on call anytime you need help... especially with Naomi if you need a breather. She and Abby had a blast yesterday and Abby just kept saying, "I really miss Naomi" after we dropped her off at the hospital. So USE ME!
