I had a second ultrasound yesterday and my baby boy measured "big" enough that the doctor there decided that "the first thing we are going to do is change your dates." I can hardly believe that I am actually off but it could be and probably obviously is. So my NEW due date is March 17th, 2008!!! I'm not complaining at all. This is good news, except for the fact that I couldn't figure out the right date on my own!!!
"Baby Boy" is doing great, just big I guess! Since his new due date is St. Patrick's Day, I decided that until we can decide on a name I'm going to nickname him "Patrick."
Speaking of, the name poll is over tomorrow! I'm thinking about doing a "round 2." Zach thought of a new name that would be pretty cool. I'm going to take the top two and add this new name. Thanks for all your votes! I have to admit I'm surprised a little at the results so far:)
*Warning, possible TMI*
This appointment was actually with a perinatal specialist because at my first ultrasound the tech found a large complex cyst on my right ovary. My OB referred me to the Perinatal place for a follow-up and further examination. I have a second visit scheduled with them in a few weeks and also to see a urologist to examine the cyst too. Soooo I'm just waiting around to see what all the doctors seem to think, about whether or not it's something that needs surgery, to be removed or just monitoring for the rest of the pregnancy. And if anyone is curious, the cyst is about 10cm, yeah, that's pretty big for cysts. Also, if any of you have ever had cysts, let me know what your doctor did/or didn't do.
Well that's the only news I had! As un-fun as it is, it's been taking up time and thoughts!!!
I guess on another note, more fun, is that Naomi is really starting to talk a lot! She's even making little sentences! Some of my favorite lately include:
"Peas, mmmm, yummy! Eat it up!!!"
"More cheeto's peeze!"
"It's Nomi's, Mommy's, Daddy's tree, yeah." Talking about our Christmas tree:)
"Drink of water, drink of water!"
You have to imagine a not quite right pronunciation with most words here of course:)

Yay for baby Patrick coming two weeks earlier. Woo hoo! Well, I've had lots of fun with cysts, and the last major one hemmoraged and left me in the E.R. So my doctor gave me pain medication and sent me home. How's that for helpful?!
I wish my doctor would push my due date up 2 weeks! What expecting mother wouldn't want that! You are lucky. Sorry to hear about the cysts. I don't have any experience with them, but I will be thinking of you.
I'm so glad to hear your baby is doing great! I'm sure you know but it's really different than having a girl! I'm sorry to hear about the cysts. I had to go see a perinatal dr with Mason, too (for a different reason, though..i won't type it here, long story). Aren't boys a pain??!! hee hee. Good luck though, it's comforting to know that the drs feel that it won't hurt the baby! good luck!
I have had lots of cysts. They started in High school. I had to stop drinking pop and that helped a lot. But at one point I had on that was the size of a quarter. They put me on birthcontorl and that helped a lot. They wanted to to surgery but I wouldn't let them because it would lower the chance of having kids. Then when I got pregnet they were fine and they have been up intell the last couple of months. And now i can tell when I have one. and then I can tell when one pops i know sounds grose. If i was you I would just hope that they will just watch it. Good luck. Sorry that was so long. I hope he really come two weeks early. Both my kids can early. Two weeks and almost three weeks. Good Luck Again.
Hopefully "Patrick" doesn't stay in until the 25th like I did! March is the best time to be born, lucky him! I can't wait until March!
That's so exciting they moved your due date up! Mine was moved back with Ethan and I don't recommend that to anyone!
I hope everything is great with the rest of the pregnancy. Hopefully you won't need surgery!
Sorry to hear about the cysts. All I can say is just ask lots of questions, and make sure you really understand what's going on. Sometimes doctors just tell you what they think. Get the facts. Good luck, keep me posted! I'm not sure who will be here for Christmas, but I'll spread the word that we are getting together for dinner :)
